Well so we changed Stevlynn's Mag Mag cup from the tea to the spout about when she was 4 months old and she had been doing great on the spout. I had not thought of changing it to the straw as the brochure that came with the Mag Mag cups says 8 months. Until Thursday that is. I was home with her and decided that it might be a good time and see what's her first reaction. I expected her not to know how to drink from it and get frustrated - but boy was i wrong.
When i first changed the spout to the straw and offered it to her,she looked at it in a very peculiar way. As though telling me 'Mummy it's different' She was toying around with it and i then offered the straw to her mouth. She bit on the straw for 2 seconds before covering her mouth on the straw and she sucked water up! *applauds* It was a small shock to her to have water coming up that way but she quickly realized 'its water' and sucked at the straw again.
Quite an easy transition for us and clever little Stevlynn - Exactly at 7 months old.
And during the last combi 20% discount sale, we bought her the combi potty but never used it cuz her butt was too small.
I took it out today to want her to go poo poo or pee pee on it - and as usual expected her to fail.
And she surprised me AGAIN.
We took it out and let her played with it, to let her be familar with it; and then put her on it.
We told her 'ngh ngh' (which meant poo poo) but no luck.
We then changed and told her 'wee wee' and upon the 3rd time telling her that, she pee-ed!!!!
This is what i dont miss out when I'm home with her :)
