Our Journey Together: 6 Months :)
Stevlynn turns 6 months today - well it's like any other ordinary day but between Stevlynn & I, its something special.
Well for one, it means 6 months left to the big 1 and KS mummy can start planning now *haha*,and also the fact that my girl's no longer termed as an infant, she's my not so small baby :)
And that we (including everybody else in the family) has went through 6 months of her life with her, from her brith today - GOOD job every one of us! A tiny little baby; a premmie; till now a whopping 7KG baby; full of love, laughter and joy, Everyone in this family gave her something to let her become what she is right now!
And on a more personal mummy & daughter note, i have breastfed her exclusively for 6 months (WHO recommends exclusive BF-ing for the first 6 months of an infant's life and complementary feeding with solids till 2 years old - http://www.who.int/topics/breastfeeding/en) Well whilst I was very firm with the 6 months mark, I am not so sure about the 2 years mark. For now, i wouldn't be counting the dates and ages of Stevlynn as i progress with the breastfeeding journey but rather take the concept of 'if i have supply i'll continue'
the other good thing about the 6 months mark also means that Stevlynn can officially go on solids (http://www.who.int/features/qa/21/en/index.html) and there is less pressure for me to pump sufficient for her (plus the fact that i was KS and have a whole freezer full of frozen stash) i should take a picture one day and show you guys :p
The other fun part is also the introduction of semi-solids, though we started slightly earlier, i have been pretty careful with what i give and also in limited quantities.
The most exciting part of this all is that she will be hitting her next milestone CRAWLING very soon. Just yesterday she manage to lift her butt off and on her knees and move 3 steps :) Watch for this
