FTWM: Trying To Be Mummy
Weekends' usually the time whereby i execute out the plans i have for Stevlynn which i make Mondays to Fridays.
This week on the agenda:
- Shopping for fruits/vegetables for her purees and new menus next week
- High Chair
- Baby Fair @ Expo
- Rice Cereal (Finishing the HT's one)
So well we manage to strike off 3 of the 4; not that bad :)
Next week on Stevlynn's food menu is pumpkins! i wanted to do peaches as well but can't find one.
Ended up buying organic baby carrots and making more carrot puree for her.
We're now feeding her 2 meals a day (Lunch & Dinner) with
- 4 teaspoons rice cereal (Healthy Times Brown Rice for now)
- 2 teaspoons of carrot puree
- 2 teaspoons of avocado puree
Carrot & Avocado will be replaced by pumpkin from Tuesday onwards (new food to introduce)
So in her dedicated freezer now is more than just her milk, but her purees too!
And we went to the baby fair at Expo, with Sharon (and Aiden) & Karen (with Chloe) & Eileen
Not that big a fair but better than the previous ones
We bought Stevlynn a new combi spoon and a Lamaze toy (which she loves)
We also managed to get some 'US' time by dropping Stevlynn off at home after the fair and putting her to bed whilst we head off to watch a midnight show with the gang - Iron Man 2. Despite the loud blasting in the cinema, and the super late hours we enjoyed ourselves - ending the night with PRATA (Super fattening i know but good reminiscing. Been a LONG time)
We decided that with her regular eating routine now, she has to have a permanent sitting at the dinner table so we decided to pump the $ in to buy her a high chair. SS & I couldn't agree on the high chair, i wanted economical, he wanted nice. We ended up picking a Peg Prego one at Shun Li which costed me $290 (hole in mummy's pocket) and it was not in the original colour we wanted - i wanted the yellow bumble bee one but it was OOS and they were not gg to take more of the stock in. Had to make do with a froggy design with orange legs instead
