Stevlynn turned 5 months exactly the day after we returned from our holiday!
And boy, did she have a blast on the holiday!
It's been awhile so this post will have TONS of updates (i'll try not to be lengthy and cut it short)
Going back to the trip - CN & HKG *many thumbs up*
First the weather was cooling for our little princess who detests hot humid weather so the change was welcomed by her (but not the rain). Then of course the new sights and people that she met during the trips. From her daily reactions, i am guessing she had a BLAST and wants an encore (hehe - too bad daddy & mummy's SUPER broke after this trip)
She had her first 'swim' in a posh jacuzzi (pictures later) and tasted her first porriage. Granddaddy YEN could not resist trying it and I had a shock cuz she took it VERY well. No spills no spitting out - all gobbled down. And as we all expected, she's a greedy girl asking for more. But her poo after that - POWER!!!
She's by nature a happy baby, but on this trip was an exceptionally happy baby. Waking us up every morning with the look of expectation for her idle bath/swim time before heading out for the day.
Well the Mclaren Quest have proven itself to be a handy lightweight stroller that's totally suitable for traveling. the easy fold and unfold and lightweight no-nonsense frame proved to be a life-saver when my back was breaking from carrying her in her pouch or when we wanted to have meals together whilst she naps!
The down thing was that despite me hunting high and low for a nice cap (Gucci preferred) i didn't manage to find one for her - u'll know why later down in the post i've been hunting like hell for a cap
First Taste of Cereal - Healthy Times Brown RiceBecause she did so well with her first taste of porriage, i decided against waiting till 6 months to wean her (sparing her the agony of her staring at us eating with nothing for her :p) so at 5 months and a day, i went to buy Healthy Times Brown Rice Cereal and gave her 2 teaspoons with 6 teaspoons of breast milk. She gobbled every bit down and looked at the bowl asking for MORE!
And of course her combi utensils all came into good use - Sally my colleague whose in JPN for work was so kind enough to buy her the hello kitty version (according to her super cute) when i casually mentioned that i may want to get one whilst she was in JPN - How sweet!
Bye Bye HairWell as you know, i've been worrying about her dropping hair and not having hair on the front part of her head, daddy & mummy was toying with the idea of shaving her and letting it all start growing all over. SS left it mostly up to me but was for the idea citing that babies hair grow very fast even if i regret it would be for awhile.
This explains why i desperately wanted a gucci hat for Stevlynn?
So i decided to be hard hearted once and for all and decided to shave her bald at our trusted hair stylist - #1 Salon. In fact we were regulars and they decided they loved Stevlynn so much that they gave her a free haircut (Thanks!!!)
So now she looks like a little boy but i trust that her hair will grow up pretty fast and nicer!!!
