So 2 years ago today, i married SS.
A year ago today, we conceived Stevlynn.
And now, 2 years down the road, we're going back to The BLU with Stevlynn to celebrate - as we have promised that we would once we have a child
and Stevlynn's 4 months in a week plus time!!!
Did you know...
: Stevlynn now knows how to 'gong xi gong xi' - how untimely as its past CNY
: Stevlynn now plays with her fingers
: Stevlynn now can show the thumbs up sign - just that her thumbs end up in her mouth instead of up *grr*
: Stevlynn now sits facing outwards when in the carrier or pouch - and enjoys the view!
: Stevlynn can 'sit' unsupported for 3 to 5 seconds before tilting sideways
: When you say 'nen nen' to her; she knows its MILK time!
: When you ask her 'Where's Gong Gong/Po Po/Daddy/Mummy' she looks around for the person in question and smiles if she sees the person
: Stevlynn can now grasp things in her hands and has a firm grasp - watch out if you have long hair or diamonds!
: Stevlynn can with ease flip to her right. Needs more work on her left
: We're still working on 'growing her hair' - WIP
: Smiles @ me whenever i walk thru the door after work each day - my personal favourite
: She's still a total breastfed baby
And she's indeed grown! She's outgrowing some of her clothes, time to buy her more!
And yeap, with the return of work, i've been battling decreasing milk supply; to a point that i've become obsessed with how much milk i'm producing each day.
So yeap, like mentioned before, i only pump when Stevlynn's away from me - these feeds for her are bottle feeds & the rest are latch ons.
I try to keep to 2 or 3 (very VERY rarely) pump sessions when i'm in the office and can yield anything between 460ML to 620ML (my personal high till date).
I have another 2 pump sessions @ home which don't normally yield much - 1 in the morning after her first feed of the day & 1 in the night 3 hours after her last feed. This 2 combined can probably yield between 180ML to 280ML.
My target is to total BF for at least 6 months - anything beyond that is a bonus.
I've still got 2 months & 8 days to this target
I always thought breastfeeding was tough (which was in the beginning) but somehow i got used to the 100% latch ons whilst i was on ML.
To me it was more convenient because i never had to wash nor sterilize bottles (hehe)
I only introduced the 1 bottle feed per day just to get her used to that - and i don't even need to feed her. SS would cover that feed.
And now, after returning to work, i realize even more that breastfeeding isn't that easy. with the latch ons & pump sessions.
my world seems to be moving too fast that i spend my weekends @ home - Sleeping or with SS or with Stevlynn or Family
This makes me realize how much a mother would do for a child - and how much my mum did for us as kids.
and then it dawned unto me what others say - you'll never know how it feels until you're a mom yourself
and it's true ! very true!
