This is how my day starts
SS has this habit of bringing Stevlynn to our bed (if she isn't sleeping on our bed the previous night) after he changes her diaper and prepares for work.
Thus i am greeted by her every morning in her own cheeky way.
This is how she greets me everyday
and this is what makes my heart melt and makes whatever i have given up/sacrificed for her all worth it.
It reminds me everyday how we must try to be the best parents we can to her, and to give her the best we can; be it monetarily, attention and love. We of course are learning each day, and we grow as she grow with her. As days pass, we learn more things from her than her from us. Patience and endless love and tolerance is one of many which we have learnt off her.
Just when we think we are too exhausted to do anything, a whim/cry/squeal from her will get our next burst of energy going just to attend to her. We have transformed to us being ultra sensitive to her. Imagine one night at 4AM, she suddenly gave out a very quiet whimper and both of us jumped right out of bed to go to her (in her playpen) just to see what's going on.
I guess with her birth, everything in our lives transformed. Transformed where she takes precedence over everything else.
And it's all worth it.
I also come to realize how much love my parents have given me/us over the many years and understand what pain i have caused my parents over these years. I guess it's true what people say when we only understand how our parents feel when we become parents ourselves. Again, another example of her allowing us to grow and learn :)
