SS & I had talked about introducing the bottle to Stevlynn to allow me to regain some form of independence and freedom, but felt that the time wasn't right yet. Yesterday opportunity allowed us to have the 1st real attempt (without choice). Stevlynn was constantly hungry; like every half an hour or so and it seemed that my milk supply couldn't satisfy her.
We had no choice but to turn to my frozen breastmilk & the put away avent bottle & teats.
She struggled with us as she was licking the teat somehow seemingly to 'discover' the new foreign object in her mouth before attempting to suckle using the same method as she would latch on, only to give up after a few seconds.
After struggling for like 5 minutes, she somehow managed to get the hang of getting milk out of the bottle but she refused to drink much from it. After an antagonizing 15 minutes, she drank less than 10 ML (and she wasn't full yet) She was increasingly agitated and we then had no choice but to let her latch on.
Maybe she wasn't full, maybe she wanted cuddles & hugs but she refused to be placed down in her own beds (both the play pen & baby cot) nor our beds to sleep and ended up sleeping in my arms for 2 hours before i could put her down.
Tough night, now i'm sleepy and tired
