i just found out.. a good gerly fren of mine is *drumrolls* in a LDR
okay i know i got the news SLOW but well im preoccupied with other things in life
[all happi, sad, stressful and stuff lk that]
haha, tell me about it
well i happen to think that LDRs are good *and to me, LDRs dun all mean love, but also wif frens*
well having going thru it all
i kinda like the idea
though other gers would bitch and whine about it
to build a base foundation for 2
to build up trust
to make both treasure each other more, the calls, the times spent 'together'
whereby 2 will have a shared yet separate life all together *ironic?*
its tough yes i agree
but if 2 go thru it all and come out of it good i personally think its all worthwhile
yes at times the distance simply frustrates u
the inability to place ur hand on the face of the other when u just feel like doing so
no1 to shower hugs and kisses (except virtual ones)
it all isnt so glam, in fact tough
the endless missing, and the horrendous time differences
but my stand towards LDR? i still go for it!!
now thinkin back,
it seems that all those super close to me
we all are scattered all over the world
china, hongkong, dubai, japan, US, australia, malaysia, france, and of cuz not forgettin UK
and poor me, im still stuck in SG...
(yea, tell me about us havin to organise meets ups and all, e costs involved. and yea, the costs refers to airtickets. and mostly we all aint able to see all at one go)
but never the less, when thunderstorms strikes, these are the ones that reach out though far...
[tell me about loyal long standin frens]
it was all so much easier for me when i was travelling frequently
least i cld squeeze time in btwn the trips to see any1 of them
i guess among all, im the luckiest
well not that i hate being in SG that much
just that when i think back,
knowing that i gave up on numerous chances to go overseas (US, AUST, UK)
maybe at that point of time, it all seemed secondary
but well, regrets or not, life goes on.
anywae i guess mostly there aint much regrets
for i know for sure
ill struggle like mad to readjust and live alone
imagine me stayin in e hostel, with none of my darling gerly frens
n e amounts of missing i wld have to go thru, not to mention crying
haha, i remember when i was 16, and i was dumped by my dad in the US for 2 months to 'rough it out' or so as he calls it, i failed so terribly. 5 hours after i was thre, i called my then bf and started wailing *haha, yea i was a big cry baby* but well, the proud thing? i was travelling all along all over the US, till i spent myself broke, and missing home, missing sg so much that i had to call SQ and literally beg them for a seat on the earliest available flight back to SG
and bein the smart me, of cuz i used my young age then, with nobody in the US, and my tears to 'swindle' a flight back 2 weeks earlier than my intended date of departure *hiakz hiakx*
so all in all, i lasted 6weeks in US roamin the streets, shopping, seeing stuff, moving from state to state...
i literally jumped into e arms of my bf then when i stepped out of the departure hall
e only thing i missed about US?
the super cool and good weather.
[imagine me wearin shorts & spags in temperatures of 0 - 3 degrees]
each time my dad called, he always had this fear i wld freeze my ass off in the US and become adelynn ice cream stuck to the floor
and the constant naggin to bring my sweater out of i didnt want to 'dress appropriately for the winter' as said by my daddy
i remember havin to blow all the aircon at full blast in my direction and stickin my face in front of the aircon vent in the car so it was so FREAKIN hot
okay, gg back to my main point..
LDR... good choice if u and ur partner is strong and firm enuff
to not wander, to be only missing that someone
to have only tots of that someone in ur head
and lets see.. gerly ger.. welcome to the world of LDRs, and may ur hp bills explode. welcome to the world of paying highly extorbidant hp bills. *haha* ive went thru that stage, now its ur turn... ull see the magics n beauty of technology for once.
